Video Widget Design Project
Potsdam, Germany
We are looking for a freelancer to design a 300*250px video player widget, that syndicate/ displays video content on 3rd party websites, but representing the branding of the license owner: iLoveVideo.tv
Functionality / video play sequence / elements:
- Thumbnail displayed to the content with headline as long the player is loading
- Teaser – Before we start playing the full video in the widget, we play a 2-3 sec teaser from the video to awake interest. An overlay (?) on the upper or lower side of the teaser needs to
- Show that this content is from iLoveVideo.tv – a website that has been visited by the user earlier. (We only show this widget to users that have already been to iLoveVideo.tv.)
- Explain that first the users will see and advertisement, and only after that users will see the full content, so “stay tuned”
- Advertisement (potentially with elements showing the remaining time from the advertisement)
- Content play (No work needed here)
- Reference to ilovevideo.tv after the video has played to the end – containing branding elements and also “See more on iLoveVideo.tv”
- “On hold” hint – when the player moves out of sight of the user (partially of fully) it pauses the video play. We need a screen when:
- the widget is partially out of screen – user either scrolled up or down
- advertisement or video play on hold
- a hint that user needs to scroll back to continue playing, in a motivating way
