As a Technical Trainer you enable specialists and developers of our partners and clients to realize eCommerce solutions based on our commercetools platform successfully and efficiently. You pick them up on the transfer to the “new world” of APIs and high scalable cloud and microservice architectures, you impart specialist know-how, best practices and hands-on experience about the software components of our open source ecosystem. You work closely together with our international and highly motivated team of Product and Partner Managers as well as the development teams for the SDKs and client solutions.
Responsible for the organizational and technical planning and implementation of the training program
Development of training contents, example code, tutorials and other documentation for the training as well as self learning materials
Make your audience experts regarding the possibilities (and limits) of existing and future features of our platform
Interfacing between market, product management and software development
Several years of practical experience in the eCommerce world (knowledge of typical project requirements and problems, regardless of whether from implementer’s or domain specialist’s point of view)
Real world programming skills and software development experience, ideally polyglot (languages used by our partners are Java, JavaScript/Node.js and PHP)
Experience in conducting technical trainings and presentations
Creativity and drive to create interesting contents for trainings and documentations
Finished degree in IT, Computer Sciences or a talented and motivated autodidact / lateral entrant with deep knowledge of the eCommerce business
High curiosity and motivation to know and to keep up with current trends and developments in the web, software and eCommerce world
English: Excellent language skills (conversation, presentations/trainings, technical terminologies), German: either already fluent or with good basic skills and a strong will to improve your skills on the job
Outstanding communication skills combined with the ability to explain technically complex facts and to fascinate and inspire our partners and clients
Experienced handling of various presentation and content editing tools
Friendly, professional presence and high sovereignty when speaking in front of an (expert/technical) audience
General willingness to travel (most trainings will be conducted in our Berlin office but sometimes also onsite at the client’s or partner’s office)
German native speaker
