We are looking for a Software Engineer – PHP (m/f) in our great office in Berlin

We are now building Hermes – a brand new moderation and fraud prevention tool. Content quality and site cleanliness is core to our business. This fascinating application developed with PHP/Bootstrap/Composer/MySQL/ElasticSearch is our powerhouse that screens, checks and moderates millions of new listing every day.

What responsibilities will you get when working with us?
- Scale our brand new, innovative moderation and fraud prevention tool in a clean way
- Provide and improve deployment and production monitoring tools
- Ensure code quality and maintainability by improving build and test systems
- Be part of a small, agile team and be involved in the whole product development cycle
- Rollout and maintain the application for all our websites around the globe
- Bring in your ideas and improve our software and our process together with the team
What will you need to be successful in this role?
- At least 3 years’ experience in development of high-traffic web applications
- Knowledge of PHP and experience with different frameworks
- Strong know-how in object orientation (OO), domain driven design (DDD) and standard design pattern
- Passion for beautiful, test-driven code and an eye for simplicity and pragmatism
- Curious to work with and learn new technologies
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Experience with AWS, MySQL or ElasticSearch is a plus
- Team player
- Good verbal and written English skills
- Passion for our services, curiosity and bias for action
