What you can expect
- Design and implementation of interdisciplinary microservices
- Contribute in our Software Development Lifecycle based on RUP
- Working collaboratively with our scientists and automation engineers to build efficient automated laboratory workflows in support of genomics
- Creating and/or executing automated testing and deployment processes
- Collaborate with our global IT team in terms of general architecture and quality assurance
- Acting as an important member of our team with a focus on driving our business through technology
Job requirements
- BS or MS in computer sciences or comparable engineering discipline
- Practical experience with cloud solutions (e.g. AWS, Azure, OpenStac)
- Knowledge about virtualization tools (e.g. Docker, Vagrant)
- Knowledge in agile software development, DevOps, Continous Delivery, automated testing and deployment
- Confidence in handling of state-of-the-art web technologies (e.g. C#, Java, Node.js) and corresponding development tools (e.g. Visual Studio, Eclipse, Maven, SVN/Git)
- Understanding of relational databases including design of data models and facility with SQL
- Energetic and self-motivated. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good English and German language skills
