You and your team shape the complete SW development workflow and infrastructure including configuration management, review, build, deploy and install. You will be responsible to continuously improve the efficiency of the SW development process in close collaboration with a distributed R&D organization with sites in Europe, Asia and America. You will work on leading edge technologies and innovative development methods to enable R&D to build better products faster. Develop your potential, work with highly skilled colleagues and achieve excellent results with a high degree of personal responsibility. Join us in an agile environment.
Your assignment
- Operation of a state-of-the-art development environment and design and implementation of SW tools for agile software development team supporting continuous integration, continuous delivery and DevOps principles for about 200 developers at worldwide distributed engineering sites
- Work closely with your customers and understand their needs
- Ensure a high operational availability and reliability
- Work in an agile environment
Your profile
- University or college degree in computer science/engineering, software engineering or comparable qualification
- Good programming knowledge in object-oriented design, implementation and testing (e.g. Ruby, Java)
- Working knowledge with Linux
- Ability to empathize with your customers and understand their use cases
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Ability to prioritize tasks, strong problem solving and analytical skills, eager to learn new things, team player
The following topics would be a plus:
- Test-driven development, pair programming
- Working knowledge in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery with Git, Jenkins, rpm, docker, Ranger, Nexus
- Web technologies (REST, Ruby on Rails, Javascript, JSON, postgres)
- Agile development processes (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
