Service Transition Manager (m/f)
You join our German-based ICT team as Fulltime employee in Berlin. You work in an international and project oriented environment and are responsible for the Service Transition Management according to ITIL.
To handle huge amounts of meteorological data is our daily business. To process and update this data in a timely manner is a key factor. You are responsible for the overall service transition, release management and service acceptance process, to assess and manage the impact of new programmes and projects on existing services. This includes the creation of transition plans for projects into early life and Business as Usual support.
Your profile:
- University degree in computer systems design or computer science, or equivalent work experience
- Practical experience with the implementation and usage of ITIL concepts
- At least three years experience with Service Transition, Release Management and Configuration Management
- In depth knowledge of the software development lifecycle and quality assurance experience
- Ideal: ITIL certification
- Fluent written and spoken English
Your responsibilities:
- Managing the transition from development phase into an operational service
- Focus on Service Definition: Who is responsible, who are the stakeholders, what is the Service, which SLAs, what are the dependencies, how is it monitored, how to handle monitoring alerts
- Ensure that support documentation is completed
- Ensure that all parties are prepared to accept the Service into operational support
- Managing each release, ensuring governance from the various stakeholders
- Ensure that releases can be deployed with minimal business disruption and can be rolled back
- Work in a fast paced environment to serve the needs of both internal and external customers of IT
- Capable of taking an active role in international distributed teams
