SENIOR RUBY BACKEND DEVELOPER (m/f) As a startup in an industry that is currently struggling to modernise and with services that experience increasing demand, we aim to grow our team with the sharpest talent we can find. Currently, we are on the lookout for a Senior Ruby Backend Developer (m/f) within our Information Technology team to start right away.

Your Responsibilities:

• Designing, building and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic
• Develop sophisticated algorithms for automated pricing and bundling
• Identifying bottlenecks and bugs as well as devising solutions to these problems
• Helping maintain code quality, organization and automation

• Technologies: Ruby, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, Ember, ReactJS, ReactNative, Docker
• Tools: AWS, GitLab, Jenkins, Capybara, Selenium
• Principles: agile company, lean, service oriented architecture, self organisation, number driven, transparency, cross-functional teams

 Your Profile:

• You have 4+ years of hands-on experience with Ruby
• You have 2+ years experience in working in a startup environment on site as team member
• You like to “stand on the shoulders of giants” and use modern technologies and frameworks such as the AWS ecosystem
• You like to actively participate in an agile setup to develop software in a team and you value discussions, knowledge sharing and pair programming
• You have a good understanding of concepts such as service oriented architecture, micro services, message queues, or machine learning
