What responsibilities will you get when working with us?
- Create and improve core components of the Atlas platform
- Along with the rest of the team build and scale a worldwide development model and culture
- Contribute to architecture, tools, standards and practices for our engineering organization
- Research, suggest and implement new technology solutions
- Contribute to scaling our platform to the next level of modularity & shareability
- Work closely with and support our development teams around the world
- Provide and improve development environments and tools
- Provide and improve deployment and production monitoring tools
- Ensure code quality and maintainability by improving build and test systems
What will you need to be successful in this role?
- At least 5 years’ experience in development of high-traffic web applications
- Advanced knowledge of PHP and experience with different frameworks
- Strong know-how in object orientation (OO), domain driven design (DDD) and standard design pattern
- Passion for beautiful, test-driven code and an eye for simplicity and pragmatism
- Extensive experience with MySQL
- Know-how in NoSQL technologies like Riak,Redis, Solr, ElasticSearch
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Solid skills in JavaScript (particular jQuery), HTML5 and CSS3
- Good verbal and written English
- Team player
