As Senior Data Backend Developer you will work with our Business Intelligence team to help us design and build out our data infrastructure. We have multiple data sources including our production database, Webtrekk Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Zendesk, etc. Your job will be to help us bring those sources together into a data warehouse and enable all our teams to have better data visibility to do their job.
You must be an agreeable co-worker and enjoy working within an entrepreneurial company. In addition, you must also be a creative, hands-on, innovative problem solver with the vision to help us define the future of Wimdu.
Your Tasks:
- Designing and building our data warehouse with our Business Intelligence team
- Moving our ETL processes to a scalable architecture (probably Amazon Redshift, but you can help guide this decision)
- Optimizing database performance and monitoring/improving data consistency
- Help improve and develop new codes within an agile and fast paced work environment.
- Become part of a dynamic team of first class developers while at the same time individually enhancing your part of the Wimdu platform.
- Solve challenging problems that will revolutionize database computing in the cloud
- Be involved in the fast growing, big data space
Your Profile:
- First and foremost, you are a zealous developer (m/f) – an educational background in the field of Information Technology or similar is preferable, although passionate career changers are also welcome
- You have 1+ years of Big Data and Data Warehousing experience
- You gained experience in relational database concepts with a solid knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL
- You are open, communicative and enjoy working as part of a team
- You have a strong understanding of the needs of an analytics/data team
