Owing to continued expansion of the business and greater demands for services, we are looking to recruit a Regulatory Consultant (m/f/d) to be based within the Product Stewardship Group of the business. The successful candidate will support companies in the context of global chemical regulations and will undertake client-driven activities. This role involves a combination of researching regulations and interpreting what they mean, tracking updates and changes to these regulations, scripting fact sheets that summarise the key points to regulations, and processing data (retrieval, manipulation and quality checks). Significant collaboration with the Data Management team will be essential. Although the core of the Product Stewardship team is based at Lancaster University in the UK, depending on experience and ability to work independently, options to be located at our German or Canadian offices, or work remotely will also be considered.
Your Responsibilities
- You support the delivery of client projects and the maintenance of our internal regulatory databases
- You research chemical regulations in different countries and identify the most appropriate data sources
- You script regulatory summaries and impact assessments that summarize the key points of these regulations
- You analyze datasets and determine the most efficient method for extracting the data
- You do the quality checking of the generated datasets
- You monitor global chemical regulations including emerging regulations and updates to existing regulations
- You research client questions relating to regulatory compliance and scripting professional responses in a clear and concise format
- You create excel files according to a template provided, by extracting data from various sources 2 Limited
Your Profile
- You have a degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) discipline
- You hold excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong problem-solving skills
- You are able to turn round work efficiently and to a high standard with excellent attention to detail
- You have a good working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
- You are able to successfully manage a fluctuating workload and work well under pressure
- You are ideally experienced in data manipulation, management, mining and quality control
- You ideally have experience with managing large datasets
- You are able to author HTML and are bilingual or multilingual as a bonus
