For our office in Berlin we are looking for a
QA Engineer (m/f)
As QA Engineer (m/f) you will be part of our QA team and be responsible to deliver a high quality product on all our platforms. You are a creative, hands-on, innovative problem solver with the vision to help us define the future of Wimdu.
Your Tasks:
- Be part of one of our cross-functional development teams
- Drive process improvements that will lead to higher quality products
- Define and ensure quality standards for existing and new software on all of our platforms (web, mobile, APIs)
- Maintain, extend and migrate our existing suite of functional and integration tests (Cucumber, Watir, Frank), and help improving our CI tools (Travis CI and Jenkins)
- Track, document, and share known behaviours with product and engineering teams
- Find bugs, help the developers to fix them and work on preventing bugs in the future by influencing the culture in our IT
- Interface with product managers, developers, engineering managers, and stakeholders to prioritise problem resolution and ensure release readiness
- Become an expert on our products and their use from a customer perspective to ensure a positive end user experience
Your Profile:
- You are a great team worker
- You are open, communicative, and enjoy working as part of a diverse team
- You have experience in automated testing (e.g. with Watir, Cucumber, RSpec, Selenium, Appium, Calabash) as well as in manual testing
- Having profound knowledge of at least one programming language (preferably Ruby) and its testing tools is essential
- You know how to use Version Control (preferably Git) on an everyday basis
- You have a clear understanding of HTML, CSS, JS and know how to use developer tools to track down bugs as well as to test features
- Experience in using and configuring CI systems (e.g. Jenkins) is a plus
- Experience in automated iOS testing (e.g. with Frank) is a plus
- Experience and knowledge in System Administration (Linux Servers) would be great
- You are keen to face challenging problems and know how to properly prioritize tasks
