Job description
Impossible is looking for an Android Developer to adapt the functionality of our iOS app to Android devices.
You need to be available immediately to work at our Berlin creative headquarters on a three to four month contract, alongside a highly motivated international team.
You will:
- port an existing iOS app to Android
- support the Mobile Platform Manager to uncover program gaps
- align with the iOS Development Team to work in parallel on new features
- work with backend and fronted teams to integrate new features, streamline user experience over iOS and Android platform
- be a big part in making the Impossible Instant Lab a great experience for Android users all over the world
Desired Skills and Experience
You should have:
- used all aspects Android offers: Sensors, caching, storage, access to gallery, Camera, building photo galleries etc. (Most important to us are: Sensors and Camera.)
- worked in a multi-platform environment, constantly aligning with other platforms to achieve seamless user experience across all platforms
- great knowledge of modern Android UI and UX patterns
- a degree of experience developing iOS applications or porting iOS native apps to Android.
- strong knowledge of MVC and OOP principles
- ability to optimize the application across all versions of Android devices but with an emphasis on the Samsung Galaxy SIII and SIV
- experience in optimizing websites for mobile use within the application
- ability to effectively communicate technical solutions and innovative ideas to our team
- built social applications or have experience with working on them
- fluent English, including technical vocabulary
