Your Tasks:
- Take over responsibility for our infrastructure and be in charge of long term SOA planning and rollout
- Control and focus on the performance and quality in our production
- Shape the future architecture of Wimdu’s infrastructure based on your experience
- Help to build up and lead a team of engineers
- Work together with a team of very experienced back-end ruby developers and other DevOps
Your Profile:
- You are experienced in server infrastructure and you have a great understanding of the production architecture requirements
- You are able to deploy and scale on VPS + Cloud (Rackspace / EC2)
- You have a broad background in Ruby on Rails development
- Your skill set include comprehensive knowledge of:
- Chef / Puppet / Other
- Ubuntu / Debian
- Nagios / Icinga, MySQL (Percona), Redis
- Nginx / Unicorn / HAProxy
- JVM (Jenkins)
- CDN (Rackspace / S3 & Cloudfront)
- Experience with High Traffic and Spikes
- Load Balancers
- MySQL (Percona)
- TV and Spikes
