Your role and responsibilities:
- You manage and coach our developer team (remotely and in Berlin)
- You have the full ownership of our IT infrastructure (Magento, PHP, RoR, Internal infrastructure)
- You ensure the scalability and performance of all IT systems
- You push for code-quality and ensure knowledge transfer between engineers
- You lead development and maintenance efforts from a technical perspective
- The documentation of all past and future developments is also a part of your responsibilities
Your strengths and qualifications:
- You have several years of experience in the IT Departement of a fast paced e-Commerce company
- You are experienced with complex server infrastructures
- You have comprehensive knowledge of Magento or similar shopsystems (scaling, performance, coding, new feature development)
- You are experienced in agile software development
- You can quickly adapt to new challenges as needed while maintaining a clear mindset
- You are experienced in working with these technologies: PHP, RoR, Jenkins, API’s, Windows Server (SSIS)
- You have strong communication skills in English; German is a plus
