WE ARE LOOKING FOR A LEAD INFRASTRUCTURE/DEVOPS ENGINEER
As lead (and first) DevOps engineer you play a pivotal role in managing our infrastructure in the cloud and make sure our service scales with its users. You will also contribute to a lean, friendly engineering team with a DevOps culture that values collaboration, constant improvement, and positive feedback.
•Job type: Full-time
•Location: Munich, Germany
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
•Define our future technology infrastructure and operations strategy
•Ensure that we have plans for redundancy, failover and disaster recovery
•Automate and monitor everything
•Maintain and enhance deployment scripts, tools and methodologies
•Coach engineering to live devops
YOUR PROFILE
•Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
•Worked with Chef/Opsworks
•Ability to script using Ruby
•Strong experience with databases (we use PostgreSQL)
•Also used some of the following: Ubuntu, Apache, Passenger, Capistrano, New Relic
•Hands on approach with focus on execution, a “getting things done” mentality
•Very quick in learning and adapting to different situations
•Team player with very high commitment and motivation
•Fluent in English (German in addition is a plus) with excellent oral and written communication skills
